The Alpine BRV-S65 6-1/2″ coaxial speakers are an excellent way to add life to your sound. In fact, they’re Hi-Res Audio Certified by the Japan Audio Society (JAS). These coaxial speakers combine rigid, high-excursion woofers with 1″ tweeters in a combo that Alpine has designed and tested to maximize the Optim DSP output from select Alpine amplifiers. The woofer features Alpine’s new H.E.D.G.E. multi-roll surround with a corrugated design, so stress is spread across the ribs you see in the image below. The ribs act like an expansion joint so the cone travels without stretching the surround too much. This design is usually found on high-excursion subwoofers, where a speaker needs long travel and great control.
The woofers are built with a blend of polypropylene and mica to create responsive and durable car speaker.
