S-Series 10cm (4”) Component 2-Way Speakers
Newly redesigned and Hi-Res Audio Certified, the Next-Generation S-Series S2-S40C 10cm (4”) Component Speakers offer a new standard in entry-level sound performance.
We packed supreme capability into these speakers by using highly effective materials and proprietary design elements. The lightweight woofer cone, crafted from a combination of polypropylene, glass fiber, and mica materials, serves up the essential high output / low distortion sound required for High-Res Audio performance. Alpine S-Series speakers feature increased magnet sizes for more power handling and best mid-bass performance in their category.
The woofer’s High Amplitude Multi-Roll (HAMR) surround brings out the best in bass by allowing maximum cone movement. A 2cm (3/4″) dome tweeter serves up all the high-frequency detail you’ve been missing with your factory speakers.
All speakers in the S-Series line have a wide vehicle fitment range and include several adapters and spacers. Using in-line crossovers, these speakers can be installed quick and easy even at home.

Hi-Res Audio Certified
Using “trickle-down” technology, inspired design, and performance cues from the Ultra-High-Resolution AlpineF#1Status system, the Next-Generation Alpine S-Series Speakers are now Hi-Res Audio Certified and able to reproduce up to 40kHz frequency response. This new benchmark in sound quality elevates the Next-Gen S-Series Speakers resulting in a more accurate and natural sound at an entry-level price point.
Clean, Accurate Audio
Crafted with a unique combination of Poly Propylene, Glass-Fiber, and Mica Cone materials, the S2-S40C is designed for lightweight construction, high output, and low distortion, giving you a clean and accurate audio experience.
Versatile Tweeter Installation
The 1” Soft Dome Tweeters cater to a wide array of installation methods. They can be flush mounted and swivelled within the housing to find the exact axis sweet spot. For stealth applications, the frames can be removed to reduce down to a fraction of their original size to suit any installation and easy replacement of factory-fitted OEM tweeters.
Glass Fiber Composite Woofer Cone
The door woofer features an all-new glass fibre composite cone, which due to its directionally woven construction is engineered to be far stronger than a traditional oval cone diaphragm. The resulting rigidity coupled with glass-fibre’s innate lightness results in highly controlled cone excursion producing excellent response and audio reproduction.
HAMR Surround
Not only does Alpine’s patented High Amplitude Multi-Roll (HAMR) surround maintain full control over the cone at any stage of excursion for high SPL. Its ability to far exceed the maximum linear excursion of regular domed surround allows for beautifully pure sound and punchy bass.
Large Magnet Structure
The large strontium magnets housed on the back of S-Series speakers mean business. Combined with large voice coils and Alpine’s patented HAMR Surrounds, increase cone excursion and the force of the driver to provide a louder, punchier sound.

The Alpine S-S40C compact footprint makes it perfect for a myriad of installation options. From stealth speaker replacements to fit behind an OEM grille, to being proudly displayed within a custom A-pillar or dash housing, the choices are almost limitless.

Alpine-exclusive High Amplitude Multi-Roll (HAMR) surround technology is integrated into the speaker design which allows for maximum cone movement, delivering powerful and accurate bass notes.
Simplified Installation
Engineered for versatility, these speakers offer seamless OEM fitment and simplified installation. With in-line crossovers, you can achieve optimal sound separation and precise tuning. The adjustable tweeters feature a flush mount housing that is removable, allowing for installations in small OEM tweeter locations. You can even remove the tweeter housing to minimize the size for custom installation.
