Size Difference
- The Problem: The KFC-HQ718 is a larger 7×10-inch speaker.
- The Result: The basket is too wide and too deep to drop into a standard 6×9 opening.
How to Install Them
- Cut Metal/Plastic: You must physically enlarge the existing 6×9 hole.
- Use Spacers: Install a 7×10 wooden or plastic spacer ring on top of the hole to lift the speaker up.
- Check Depth: Ensure you have at least 82mm of clearance below the mounting surface.
